One of CMA’s biggest initiatives—the CMA Foundation—is to enhance music education in public schools. Swapping Excel for the Adaptive Suite has allowed the foundation to streamline its budgeting and forecasting processes. This has in turn minimized the operational expenses of its fundraisers so that more revenue can be donated to schools.
How much more? To date, the foundation has awarded $13 million to music programs in schools across the country. “Without Adaptive, I’m not sure that operationally we would have been able to get to that level,” says Jennifer Crowder, CMA’s senior manager of accounting services. “My accounting team now has the ability to review at a much more detailed level, which in our business means the difference between giving a school $15,000 and $1 million.”
