Adaptive Planning Introduces Fall 2011 and Winter 2012 Releases

Today we announced Adaptive Planning’s Fall 2011 and Winter 2012 Releases.  The new release focuses on extensive new reporting capabilities and delivering numerous cloud computing and corporate collaboration advantages .  A recent survey of 1,000 senior financial executives conducted by Merrill Research found that the usage of CPM solutions is expected to skyrocket over the next two years, increasing by up to 77 percent.  In addition, the survey found that the single most important product feature is strong reporting capabilities, while the most important product and vendor attributes include ease of use, rapid implementations, excellent customer service, ease of working with the vendor, and affordable pricing that provides great value.  As the survey indicates, there was great alignment between what people are looking for and our offering.

In another survey conducted by the BPI Network and Adaptive Planning, we found that the majority of finance executives are using social media avenues, such as LinkedIn and Facebook in their professional and personal lives.  However, currently the majority of companies are not using collaborative technology in their planning and reporting processes, but the majority of people would like to use this type of technology in the future.

The key new features in the releases include enhanced enterprise collaboration capabilities, with the ability for users to share annotations and discussions within reports, and to provide product feedback from within the application.  In addition, administrators can now see who is logged into Adaptive Planning at any point in time similar to seeing who is logged into Facebook in the chat window.  Introducing more robust collaboration features, as well as enhancing our reporting functionality represent another example of how we continually listen to our customer’s and incorporate their feedback into our quarterly releases.  Customers expressed enthusiasm for these new features when we previewed the new functionality during our Customer User Groups this summer.
